No Solution
I am 16 years old and I have been struggling with IBS for two years now. The first year was nothing major, I had to go to the bathroom more frequently than normal, but nothing I couldn't handle. At the beginning of my sophomore year of high school, however, my symptoms got a lot worse. Every time I went to the bathroom it was diarrhea, yet I was always feeling constipated. I had to go every five minutes, and when I finally got the chance, I couldn't go anymore. My life was miserable, and I finally went to see a GI specialist. She took some X-Rays and it turned out I had been suffering from incomplete evacuation over a long period of time and had been so backed up that I was having diarrhea. She told me to take Miralax, so I did, and I felt so much better at first. Eventually, I started having diarrhea again, but I was able to get more out with each sitting. After about 6 months of Miralax and Benefiber, I started having uncontrollable diarrhea. I started seeing a wholistic practioner who helped me so much at first. But now my symptoms are going back to the way they were in the beginning. I have no way of controlling my symptoms. I am not sensitive to any foods, stress has no impact, and neither does a lack of sleep. My junior year starts in 2 weeks and I am not looking forward to another year of hell like the last one.
