After many years of suffering I've now got to a stage where it's fairly stable with the odd flare up
I follow a low residue diet
Take calcium as this helps with IBS -D
Enteric coated peppermint oil after meals
2 x Aloe Vera tablets In the morning
1 x amitriptylene at night
Have a wheat bag to hand for pain !
Carry wipes and tissue and chage of underwear
If travelling take 1 x lopermide (Immodium) for prevention
Women will know IBS is worse during a period and I usually take 1 x mebeverine in the morning during this time as it helps with IBS cramps and menstrual cramps
