Thank you for creating this podcast. Conversations about IBS and similar medical mysteries tend to be rather gloomy, so your upbeat treatment of the subject is a welcome change.
Both Western medical practitioners and specialists who advocate dietary regime and lifestyle changes are usually so didactic and rigid in their approaches, that one tends to feel more hopeless and enslaved by their condition than positive about being able to take control of their lives.
With your podcast, you instill hope and propose a possible treatment option in a lighthearted and entertaining way - thank you!
I suffer from both IBS and IC (Interstitial Cystitis) and I wish there were more podcasts of this kind on the natural ways of tackling them.
MY condition is sometimes very frightening and experience has taught me not to read too many forums and web articles because they are rarely encouraging. As we all know, anxiety does not help the situation and is often responsible for making things a lot worse.
I have been on a rigid vegan diet for a year now, eating mostly organic food, and although much better, I am not by any means cured. I have come to the conclusion that it is stress and anxiety (my constant companions ever since I can remember), that are at the core of my IBS and IC.
I feel that it is only by conquering those that I will manage to get rid of IC and IBS altogether. So, please do a podcast on positive thinking and its role in the treatment of IBS, IC, chronic fatique syndrom, fybromyalgy and all the other medical conditions which leave doctors and patients equally puzzled. Keep up the good work. P.
