For some people, some types of food that we eat can be a direct trigger for an IBS attack.

If you suffer from IBS, it's not necessarily a good idea to be eating hot and spicy foods, or any other kinds of foods that could upset your digestive system.
For some people
Bland Diets
and/or low calorie diets, high fiber foods,
or even low-fat diets can help, although for others the best Diet for Irritable Bowel Syndrome is one where they try to completely eliminate certain foods from their diet altogether.

Sian is a big believer in the virtues of Slippery Elm Food. She lovingly calls it 'Gloop' and swears by the stuff, saying that it has really helped her with the irritable bowel syndrome symptoms.
She has a cup of 'Gloop' every evening before bed as part of her night time routine.
Another excellent food for IBS Sufferers that Sian swears by, is cranberry juice.
Mediterranean Diet
The
Mediterranean Diet
is a great one to try out because its very high in ingredients which are ideal for good digestion (it's also great tasting).
Acai Berries
