Am I the only one?

by Christakis
(Cyprus)

This is the first time I get into your side and my English in not that good.
Well, many years back 1986 I had a gallbladder removed. Since then I had different problems related to my stomach and my colon. I went through many different tests....a lot of times....tubes through my stomach and colonoscopies even cystoscopy (what a terrible experience) and all the doctors told me that I have IBS since there was nothing else wrong with me.
I tried all different medicines for IBS. My symptoms come and go through different periods of time. I get mostly diarrhea lower pain....urge to go to the bathroom...for urination and other....and a constant lower belly discomfort. All those symptoms drive me crazy for a long period of time. It goes away and then after months or a year comes back again. Its really very frustrating. Do other people feel like me?
I tried all different doctors even acupuncture...omiopathetic. I tell you the truth I even went to a psychiatrist who prescribe me a medicine and for a year and a half after the treatment I was ok. I am so desperate now that I am thinking to go back. I don't want to visit a gastrologist any more. He or she will take me through the same .....do this test...do the other test....I don't want to go through this again.
Someone to comment please.
Thanks a lot
